In 2002, we established the Global Sourcing Division of Walmart. Our teams facilitate the direct purchasing of merchandise for all Walmart retail operations. We have Global Merchandise Centres in the USA, Mexico and UK supported by 16 sourcing offices located around the world, our division continues to develop and maintain a fully integrated supply chain that delivers merchandise to our retail locations across the globe. We drive price leadership and speed-to-market strategies, allowing Walmart to deliver on the promise of saving people money so they can live better. SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (COMPLIANCE)
  •     Conducting root cause analysis and implementation of effective solutions to support capacity building remediation plans
  •     Oversees the training and educating of suppliers and factory management to apply analysis and problem solving to their own factories
  •     Participates in strategic initiatives which support ES and Sustainability goals and objectives. Leads projects or acts as a resource for projects.
  •     Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure understanding and integration of audit or investigation findings into supplier and factory development and remediation efforts.
  •     Manages strong relationships with Wal-Mart suppliers, industry associations, governments, nongovernmental organizations and other stakeholders on collaborative initiatives and partnerships.
  •     Partners and collaborates with local and regional stakeholders with the intent to understand, improve and holistically address key social and environmental issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •     Thorough knowledge and expertise of factory auditing and assessment.
  •     Strong knowledge of local and regional issues effecting social and environmental conditions.
  •     Ability to make meaningful contribution to ethical standards and sustainability issues by taking conscientious initiative on team assignments and responsibilities.
  •     Strong management and supervisory skills including inspiring commitment, developing talent, and leveraging the capabilities of associates to produce improved results. Mentors, guides and nurtures the development of associates. The ability to communicate, monitor and evaluate performance.
  •     Project management skills which include managing project deliverables.
  •     The ability to evaluate and improve existing systems and processes.
  •     Strong communication skills including written and verbal skills.
  •     The ability to influence others and assert ideas and opinions successfully.
  •     Strong business knowledge of operations and supply-chain.
  •     Exhibits a high level of integrity and ethics.
  •      5-7 Years experience in Compliance Fields.
  •     University – 4-year degree/Bachelors; Business, Engineering, Legal, or equivalent
