Position Purpose:
- The Purchasing Manager will responsible for driving the improvement of purchasing quality in locations deliveries (quality, price and service) and reducing the cost per gram/ml of the high volume/high cost inventory items. This will involve product selection, selecting suppliers, evaluating their performance and taking appropriate action, as well as overseeing the operational activities of the Purchasing Department in terms of issuing Purchase Orders and screening supplier invoices. The Purchasing Manager will be the main interface between the Company and its suppliers. The Company’s culture is one developing constructive and positive relationships with its suppliers. The general responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager will be as follows: Determination of Requirements and Educating suppliers, Supplier selection and Qualification, Requisitioning and Verification of Suppliers Product, Suppliers Performance Review and inter- Dept Coordination.
Requirements:
- Having minimum 5 years working experience at managerial level as Procurement, Purchasing/ Buyer in similar field, knowledge in custom & import regulations would be an advantage
- Possessing good knowledge and exposure in contract/agreement
- Good command in English both oral and written
- Proven problem solving abilities.
- Effective communicator.
- Ethical attitude to business.
