Purchasing / Logistics Officer
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, Service Manager and Financial Accountant, this position is responsible for coordinating all activities required for purchasing, expediting and importation of spares and consumables for the service and workshop operation in Indonesia, as well as ensuring that all work is carried out to Metso Standard and Specifications.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain best available pricing and lead time for parts and subcontract works.
- Maintain a register to ensure all goods are received on time
- Support teams as necessary
- Liaise with subcontractors/agent and end user to ensure they are notified of any delays.
- Keep abreast with changes to the laws of the importation and exportation of goods within Indonesia and overseas
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Fluent in both Indonesian and English
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
- Ability to learn how to use and apply computer programs for the evaluation and selection of products
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent organizational and time management ability
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent customer relations and building skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience and familiarity with Metso/mining equipment and system
- Experience with logistic and import export procedures
